Nina Morel

Ed.D., PCC

  • Overview & Experience

    Dr. Nina Morel is the Executive Director of Leadership Development and Coaching and a professor of management at Lipscomb University. She is an International Coaching Federation PCC-certified leadership coach with broad experience coaching executives in higher education, government, and nonprofit organizations. 



    Morel has developed and led innovative coaching initiatives and coaching training programs. She was a university dean, an executive director of a non-profit organization, and has had several executive leadership roles in K-12 and higher education. Morel won the prestigious Milken National Educator Award for her secondary school teaching and is currently a certified Habit Coach and Koru Mindfulness Instructor.

    Morel is the author of several books, including Learning from Coaching: How do I work with an instructional coach to grow as a teacher? (ASCD, 2014); How to Build an Instructional Coaching Program for Maximum Capacity (Corwin, 2012); and Redefining Competency-Based Education: Competence for Life (Business Expert Press, 2018). She has published articles in ATD’s Talent Development magazine, Educational Leadership journal, The Learning Professional journal, and the International Coaching Psychology Review.

    Morel’s passion is helping clients become healthy leaders who bring joy to their communities, family, and workplaces. She believes leadership is conversation, and healthy conversations lead to healthy and productive communities and businesses.

Donita Brown

D.B.A., Certified Habit Coach

  • Overview & Experience

    Dr. Donita Brown is a professor at Lipscomb University professor, teaching in the Master of Management Health Care  Program and Master of Health Administration, as well as undergraduate management and leadership courses.


    She has over 20 years of corporate management experience at one of the nation's leading health care providers.

    Brown has written several books you can find on Amazon. She is also the creator of the podcast, The Management Minute with Dr. Donita Brown, a podcast for seasoned and new managers delivered weekly. 

  • Interests

    “I have two daughters, a husband, and a poodle so I know the challenges of wanting a career and to also be present for my family.". Donita coaches working moms on how to focus so their personal and professional lives flourish.
